Braun T52 | T58 Radio

The T 52 was a reworking of Braun's large and boxy transistor 1 radio from 1957 . In this version, the rectangular enclosure was much thinner and more compact, made possible by the exclusive use of transistors, and the tuning scale was moved to the top to align with the controls. Equipped with a swiveling handle, the T 52 could be positioned at an angle or mounted under the dashboard of a car. The circular knobs were lengthened, allowing them to be operated without looking. The success of the model inspired many variants. - Excepts from Klaus Kemp
